The Chef
The story of Chef Michelangelo (Executive Chef of The Pasta Bros.™) is simple and authentic, like the land he comes from, the Emilia Romagna region, situated in the heart of northern Italy.
Michelangelo was born in Bologna, a town that is effervescent, easygoing, culturally and industrially avant-garde.
It is a city that has the oldest extant University of the Western World.
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ducati are all manufactured here, and, above all, the production of classical foodstuff and rich traditional cuisine are very prominent in this region.
Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar, Lasagna al Forno and Bolognese Sauce all have their origins here, among many other Italian classics.
His parents are from two diverse places in Italy: his father Michele from Naples, his mother Angela from Bologna, both cities noted for their superb cuisines.
His style of cooking is the expression of their different heritages, resulting in delicious simple meals, with many of the recipes handed down from his grandmothers.
He has lived and worked in many cities of Italy and travelled throughout the country, savouring and discovering the many different regional cuisines.
He wants to share his knowledge and experience in Los Angeles with those who have the desire and passion to eat well. |
